Granite Tools
Granite is an igneous rock originated through natural geological process involving volcanic eruption. But we use solid granite of different sizes and colors in our construction works. To avail finished granite slabs we use varieties of granite tools such as cutting tools, dressing tools, safety tools, pneumatic tools and hand tools.
Cutting Tools
Varieties of cutting tools are use for shaping natural granites into different forms suitable for construction purposes. These cutting tools are includes chisels, grinders, hammer drill etc. Different types of cutting chisels are required for shaping the granite into required form. A grinder having diamond blade is regarded best cutting tools for cutting hard rocks like granite.
Dressing Tools
Raw and natural granites are polished with the help of rasps and sandpapers. The use of rasps makes the granite more natural and elegant. Then the application of wet/dry silicone carbide sandpaper make the granite more polished and smooth by look.
Safety Tools
As granite is so hard in texture it needs sharp tools to cut and polish. During cutting and dressing processes several types of risks emerges. Therefore it is first and foremost duty of the artisan to wear safety glasses, respirators, ear protection devices, shock resistant gloves etc.
Pneumatic Tools
Processing of granites requires various high tech tools such as pneumatic hammers, bushing chisels, frosting chisels, cup chisels and criss-cross chisels. High capacity compressors are also used to enable pneumatic hammers function properly. The bankers are used to hold the granite standstill so that cutting and bushing work done properly.
Hand Tools
Hand tools are similar to pneumatic tools but these are merely used for large chunk of granites. Hand tools such as hammers, chisels, handsets etc are used for cutting and brushing of granite stones. The miniature shaping of granite can be possible by the use of hand tools only.
Granite industries are using various types of tools equipped with latest techniques and designing options. The elegant shape of granite is only possible with the employment of advance tools and techniques.
